IMPACT - Abrasion and flexible properties
Laboratory tests were outstanding. TL BARRIER is elastomeric with its unique coefficient of expansion has the flexibility to give and will not crack or become brittle in time -320 per cent elongation at break.
Also highly abrasive and impact resistant when subjected to thermal shock, deformation, vibration and all other environmental atmospheric pressures or industrial situations such as steel factory primed applications.

Successful long-term immersion in salt water and potable water was achieved on blasted, and smooth steel and concrete.
When coating stainless steel and aluminum it was found necessary to reformulate by adjusting the pH to obtain the same successful results.
FILM DAMAGE - No under film corrosion
Superb adhesion combined with a remarkable anti-corrosion inhibitor, the
TL BARRIER displays a unique characteristic if the film is damaged through to
the metal substrate.
Corrosion under film creep and blistering
is held at the exposed substrate preventing the spread of corrosion
allowing the minimum of repair damage to be easily carried out.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - Excellent
Testing for chemical resistance and contamination has shown that TL
BARRIER would be an ideal choice for use on factory cement floors,
chemical works, containers, rail wagons, lorry bulk containers etc.
To protect against the spillage and splashing of a wide range of
chemicals, such as solvents, acids, alkalies, petrol, oil, glycols and
alcohol. The TL BARRIER film was softened by some chemicals but
recovered on drying out.

Water-based TL BARRIER is tolerant of damp surfaces, an additional
benefit when wet blasting is used for preparation of the substrate. Very
quick and easy clean up of equipment using water only.
FAST DRYING - 2 or 3 coasts applied in one day
Due to the high solids of TL BARRIER at 20 C/60% RH wet film
thickness of l00mm will be touch dry in 10 minutes and will withstand rain
30 minutes after application.
Overcoat time 2/4 hours after film has coalesced dependent on film build,
temperature, humidity, airflow etc.
Ideal for scaffolding applications - rapid drying of first coat enables
the 2nd and 3rd coats to be applied on the
same day while the scaffolding remains in situ achieving enormous savings
on the time and labour costs involved in the constant dismantling and
re-erection of scaffolding
